Children's Day: President Pranab Mukherjee to award children for exceptional achievements

President Pranab Mukherjee will give away awards to children for their exceptional achievements on Children's Day on 14 November.

The awards are given away in two categories i.e., Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award to individuals -and National Award for Child Welfare to institutions and individuals.

The awards will be as follows:

I. National Child Awards for Exceptional Achievement, 2016: One Gold Medal and 30 Silver Medals including a Certificate and a cheque of Rs.20,000 to Gold Medalist and Rs.10,000/- to each Silver Medalist to be given to children in the age group of 5-18 years.

II. National Awards for Child Welfare, 2015: Five institutions and three individuals are being given the National Award for Child Welfare, 2015, which includes cash prize of Rs.3,00,000/- to each institution and Rs.1,00,000/- to each individual.

III. Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award, 2016: Three individuals are being awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award, 2016, which include cash prize of Rs.1,00,000/-, a certificate and a silver plaque.
