BK Bansal, a former senior official at the Corporate Affairs Ministry, who allegedly committed suicide along with his son in their East Delhi residence on 27 September, accused the CBI of harassment, and of abusing and torturing his wife and daughter in four sets of suicide notes that were retrieved from his house.

Bansal's suicide comes two months after his wife and daughter took their own lives in the same apartment, while Bansal was away, serving time in prison.

"Your future generations will be scared of my name," Bansal quoted a CBI official in his suicide note.

In the note, he further alleged that while he was in jail, two female CBI officers had slapped his wife and daughter, humiliating them, while their boss egged them on, saying "Torture these women so much that they are almost dead."

Bansal was informed of this by his neighbours after he was granted bail.

Bansal's wife Satyabala, and his daughter Neha had committed suicide on 19 July, leaving behind two separate suicide notes wherein they held the humiliation caused to them during the CBI raids responsible for their suicide.

Bansal had been arrested on 17 July, when in his capacity as senior officer in the Corporate Affairs Ministry, he had allegedly accepted a Rs 9 lakh bribe from a Mumbai firm in exchange for dropping an inquiry against it.

Following the death of his wife and daughter, Bansal had been granted bail by a CBI court on humanitarian grounds.
