Railway Recruitment 2020: 617 vacancies out for Clerk, ALP; 10th pass can apply

Looking for Railway jobs? The South Eastern Railway has released an opportunity for such aspirants who desperately want to join Indian Railways. Under this recruitment drive, Railways will fill the positions like Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), Clerk and Junior Engineer.

The last date to submit the application form is April 23. However, India has been put on 21-day nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak, therefore, many students are thinking whether competition exams will be conducted or not. Well, the answer to your query is that the entrance exam will be held only after the situation gets normal but you can apply for the examination which will be done by online mode.

South Eastern Railway invited a total of 617 vacancies for the latest recruitment to the post of ALP, Clerk and Junior Engineer.

• For ALP: 324 vacancies
• For Junior Engineer: 8 vacancies
• For Clerk: 285 vacancies

Educational Qualification:

• Assistant Loco Pilot: Candidates who have passed class 10 and also possess an ITI trade certificate are eligible to apply.
• Junior Clerk cum Typist: He/she should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Senior Comml.cum Ticket Clerk: Applicant should have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
• Senior Clerk Cum Typist: Applicant should have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent also a typing proficiency in English/ Hindi on Computer is essential.
• JE (P.Way), JE (Works): Candidates should hold the three years of Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
• JE (Signal), JE (Tele): To apply for this position candidates should have three years of diploma in Electrical / Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering from a recognized University.

Selection Process:

Interested and eligible candidates will have to appear for the computer-based and then document verification followed by typing proficiency test.

Age limit:

The minimum age limit required to apply for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit is 42 years.
