Shillong Lajong will hope to continue from where they left off in the last round of the I-League last week, when they take on East Bengal in the first leg of their Federation Cup quarter-final clash in Shillong on Sunday, 1 May.

Lajong, who secured a 1-0 win over the Kolkata giants on 24 April to escape relegation, will continue to miss the services of skipper Aibor Khongjee, who remains sidelined with an injury. In his absence, midfielder Penn Orji will don the armband.

On the other hand, this will be East Bengal's second game under new head coach Trevor Morgan, who returned to the club for a second stint last month.

The two sides famously faced off in the final of the 2009-10 edition, when East Bengal defeated Lajong in penalties in Guwahati to lift the cup.

On the other hand, Khalid Jamil-coached Mumbai FC will take on Sporting Clube de Goa in another first-leg clash at the Cooperage Stadium in Mumbai on 1 May.

Both sides lodged impressive wins in their last-round fixtures in the I-League, and will hope to continue their good form in the cup.

On Saturday, minnows Aizawl FC stunned I-League champions Bengaluru FC 2-1 at home to grab a crucial advantage ahead of the second-leg game on 3 May.
