UPSC Prelims 2018: Civil Services exam notification to be released this week

The Civil Services Examination 2018 exam notification will be released by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) this week of February.

Those candidates who are interested can check the notification on the official website of UPSC. As per the reports the last date of receiving the application form is 6 March 2018. The preliminary examination will be held in the month of 3 June 2018 which will be tentative.


All the candidates are advised to read the instructions and eligibility criteria before applying for the examination.

Candidates who will get qualify the preliminary examination will appear for the Mains examination. As every student must be aware of the pattern of the examination that the Civil Service exam is conducted in two phases, namely Preliminary (objective type) and Civil Services (Mains) Examination (written and interview).

All the selected students in prelims will move to the next stage i.e. Mains. Later on, they will be offered services and posts in the various government sectors like IAS (Indian Administrative Service) Officer, IPS Officer (Indian Police Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service) and IRS (Indian Revenue Service) in India. All the aspirants who will apply for this examination must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised board/university/institute as mentioned in the criteria of UPSC.
