Results for UPSC Combined Defence Services (CDS) 1 2016 exam out at upsc.gov.in

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of written examination Combined Defence Services 1 (CDS 1) 2016 on 3 May.

Candidates can check their results on the official website upsc.gov.in.

As many as 8,411 candidates have qualified in the test. These candidates are now eligible for the next round of interviews, which will be held by the Service Selection Board, Ministry of Defence.

The CDS is the first stage for admission to the following academies:

1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (142th Course)

2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala

3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (201/16F/PC)

4. Officers Training Academy, Chennai 105th SSC Course (for Men)

5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 19th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course

All the above programmes will commence in January 2017.

The UPSC conducted the examination on 14 February 2016.
