Former Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Rashid Latif recently shared a video from his Twitter account to draw Pakistan Cricket Board’s attention. Rashid shared a video of a young Pakistani speedster who sends the stumps flying while bowling in a tape ball cricket match.

Rashid Latif took to his official Twitter account and captioned, “Raw Talent with reasonable speed @TheRealPCB (Tape Ball cricket).”

Pakistan is the home of some of the world’s greatest fast bowlers and has produced the likes of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Amir etcetera. Young Pakistani cricketers look up to them for inspiration and motivation. Pakistan was once considered the bowling prowess in cricketing world and had the most formidable bowling line-up.

Former Indian cricketer and World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev once said that the reason Pakistan continues to produce great fast bowlers is because of the role models they find in Imran Khan and others.

Pakistan is having a bad time in one-day international cricket as the national team lost their 10th consecutive ODI match on May 23 against Afghanistan. This was the first time that Afghanistan defeated Pakistan in a 50-over match. Pakistan lost an ODI series to Australia by 5-0 in UAE and an ODI series against England by 4-0 earlier this month.

The match against Afghanistan was part of the warm-up games being played before the World Cup. Pakistan will play their first match against West Indies on May 31.
