Virat Kohli misses this big record in World Cup opening match against South Africa, now won't be able to make

Team India in their first match in World Cup 2019 defeated South Africa by 6 wickets and with this, the team started the tournament with a winning streak. However, when most of the things went in favour of team India, but team India skipper Virat Kohli misses a chance to make an amazing record. Team India had to play brilliantly to get the first win in World Cup, although it was Rohit Sharma who made a century in the game.

Team India had to face troubles while they were batting to chase the score, even king Kohli didn't give so much time to stay on the ground. Kohli just made 18 runs on 34 balls. With this Virat Kohli missed the opportunity of getting a century in the three back to back world cup opening games.

 

Actually, Virat Kohli made a century in the openings games of World Cup 2011 and 2015 and if he would have made a century against South Africa also then he would have become the first batsman to do so. Let us tell you that in the first game against Bangladesh in Mirpur in 2011 World Cup, Virat Kohli hit a century.

Even in the first game in 2015 world cup, Virat Kohli hit a century against Pakistan. But on Wednesday he missed the chance to hit a century. However, the trend of hitting centuries in opening games followed continuously, well this time it was not Virat Kohli, it was followed by Rohit Sharma.
