Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara are some of the former cricketers who will be seen taking the field during the Road Safety World Series in India next year.
The Road Safety World Series will be a yearly T20 tournament that will be played between retired cricketers from five nations South Africa, Sri Lanka, Australia, West Indies and India.
Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and West Indian Brian Lara will be accompanying other former cricketers including Virender Sehwag, Brett Lee, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Jonty Rhodes in the tournament, starting 2nd February.
Sachin Tendulkar is the world’s leading run getter in Tests and ODIs, cumulating more than 34,000 runs, which includes 100 centuries in his 24 year long career that came to a halt in 2013.
In 2008, Sachin Tendulkar bettered Brian Lara’s milestone of most Test runs, with Lara having amassed 11,953 in red ball cricket ahead of retiring in 2007.
The West Indies legend holds the record for the highest individual Test score, his unbeaten 400 against England in 2004.
