MS Dhoni might announce his retirement from international cricket today as rumours of him calling for press-conference is going viral on social media. Ever since the World Cup 2019 was over, MS Dhoni fans started speculating his retirement but the former Indian skipper has kept everyone guessing.

After the World Cup 2019, MS Dhoni kept himself away from international cricket. Dhoni took a two-month break from cricket to serve in the Indian Army. Dhoni is an honorary lieutenant colonel in the Indian Army’s parachute regiment.

The rumours of Dhoni’s retirement started after Indian skipper Virat Kohli shared a picture of him along with Dhoni where he can be seen bowing down to the Ranchi cricketer. The picture is from the 2016 ICC T20 World Cup that was held in India.

The BCCI is yet to confirm any news regarding Dhoni’s retirement. While announcing India's squad for the West Indies tour, chief selector MSK Prasad clarified that Dhoni had informed the board about his decision to take a break from cricket. Dhoni’s selection for upcoming series against South Africa is still under clouds as no confirmation has come from his side.
