IPL 2018: MS Dhoni becomes the first skipper to hit 5000 runs in T20 international

Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni not just made assured the victory of team Chennai Super Kings against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 24th match of IPL. Now in this match, not just MS Dhoni helped his team to win the tournament but also made some records. While chasing the score of 206 runs, CSK made 207 runs in two balls remaining.

MS Dhoni made a brilliant partnership with Ambati Rayadu for the clear win of Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni made 70 runs not out with hitting 7 sixes and one four. Let me tell you with this innings MS Dhoni has become the first skipper to make 5000 runs in T20. Dhoni as a captain has made more than 5000 runs in the T20 format as he has made 5010 runs.

 

After this Gautam Gambhir comes in the second position who made 4242 runs as a skipper, then Virat Kohli is in the third position who made 3591 runs. While the match there were some more records also made as it happened a third time in T20 history when 33 sixes were hit during the match. This is also a history that there was a huge gap in between total fours and sixes in any match.

CSK skipper Dhoni assured the win for the team while hitting the six on the last ball, as it happened the fourth time when Dhoni did the same for his team. Even while chasing any score then this is the best of CSK ever in IPL history.
