'Dharma Productions works only with stars': When Karan Johar refused to work with Ayushmann Khurrana

Karan Johar denied to work with Ayushmann Khurrana

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death has escalated the debate on “nepotism” in Bollywood. The 34-year-old actor who died of suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan on 14th June was going suffering from depression and was said to be the victim of nepotism. As per reports doing rounds on all entertainment portals the big directors and producers of B-town sabotaged late actor’s filmy career.

Talking about same Ayushmann Khurrana who is also an outsider and came from TV industry narrated an incident in his book Cracking the Code: My Journey in Bollywood. In this book, Gulabo Sitabo actor recalls an incident where he requested Karan Johar to give him a chance in films. However, he was denied as Dharma Productions only works with the “stars” and at that time Ayushmann was just a newcomer.
