After Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the much-anticipated Salman Khan - Kabir Khan Film, Tubelight will go on floors in Ladakh on 28 July, 2016.

Set against the backdrop of 1962's Indo - Sino war, the film is essentially a human drama capturing the transformation of Salman's character. The makers have plans to explore the virgin locations of Ladakh in the first schedule. Reportedly, the team will be there for nearly 80 days which means that 70% of the film will be shot in the city.

After Ladakh, the team will move to Kashmir and Ajmer for a short schedule, which will end the shoot. The film is expected to be wrapped up by January 2017.

While we initially reported that the makers are looking to rope in a top Chinese actress in the film, recent developments suggest that the plan has now been dropped. A Bombay Times report reveals that the makers have got Deepika Padukone on board and the actress is expected to join Salman for the Ladakh schedule by August.

Official confirmation is still awaited.
