Television actress Sakshi Tanwar will be seen as Aamir Khan's wife in his next film Dangal which is a biopic on the life of Mahavir Phogat.

Aamir Khan is known for in-depth research on a subject before he agrees to be a part of the film and same has been the case with Dangal. The actor, who will be seen as a father of two daughters in Dangal, signed the script only after much deliberation.

Ever since the film is announced, there have been rumours going on around the star cast of the film. Finally the star cast of Dangal is locked and the film is all set to go on floors in September this year.

Cast of Dangal:

Aamir Khan will be seen as wrestler Mahavir Phogat in the film. The actor will have two looks in the film - one would be of a 55-year-old father while another would be a young wrestler. Sakshi Tanwar has been roped in to play Aamir Khan's wife in Dangal. The two will be seen as an aged couple. Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra will be seen as female wrestler in the film, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar will play the younger version of Fatima and Sanya.

Preparation for Dangal:

One of the major challenges for Aamir Khan in Dangal is to gain weight and look like a 55-year-old and the actor has managed to do the same. Aamir is not just gaining weight, but also undergoing intense training in wrestling and is learning authentic Haryanvi to prepare for his role in the film.

Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra have started training hard in wrestling as the two will be a part of many wrestling matches in Dangal. Sakshi Tanwar is attending workshops to get the Haryanvi dialect right and will also meet a few real life couples as a part of her acting workshop.

Dangal is all set to release in Christmas next year. The film will be shot in two schedules, one which starts in September this year where Aamir will shoot as the middle aged father, while the second one will start in April next year once Aamir loses weight to shoot for the portions which require him to look like a young wrestler.
