Gully Boy Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer is rocking theatres

Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy had a terrific start on its first day and continued its race on its second day too. The movie that hit the theaters on Valentine’s day had a bumper start at the box office and collected 19.40 crores on its very first day. According to reports, this is Ranveer’s second biggest opener after Simbha.

Continuing, the momentum on its second day, Gully Boy managed to earn good amount on Friday as well, though during morning the pace was slow compared to opening day, but by evening it rose to good amount. The film, which released in 3350 screens across the country, collected 17 crore (approximately) at the Indian box-office.

India Today critic Ananya Bhattacharya gave Gully Boy 3 out of 5 stars and hailed the performances of Ranveer and Alia. "From the kohl in his eyes to the pain in his lyrics, Ranveer brings the story of a slumdog alive on the big screen. His accent is on point. He digs his claws into his character and comes out with a performance to remember," she wrote in her review, adding that Alia brought her "effusive charm" on screen.

Ranveer's rapping skills have become the talk of the town Zoya was all praise for her leading man as well as Divine, who helped him with vocal training as well as composing tracks. "Divine is such a generous artist. He gave Ranveer tips on throw and basic technique, and stayed back and let him emerge," the filmmaker told India Today magazine.
