Emraan Hashmi announced his production debut, Captain Nawab, in which he will essay the character of an army officer for the first time in his career.
The attention-grabbing poster depicts half of Emraan's uniform as that of the Indian army's and the other half of Pakistan's. Speaking about the basic premise of Captain Nawab to a leading daily, Hashmi said,
"That's the DNA of the film. I know it will spark off assumptions but I'll hold the suspense for now."
Once the actor wraps up shooting for Milan Luthria's Baadshaho, he will undergo intense training to get the nuances of an army officer right.
"It will take months of training before I get down to shooting. Just to get the swing of the bat right in Azhar, I had to train for at least four months. This film will be even more demanding," said Hashmi.
The movie is expected to go on floors in 2017
