Aiyaary averts clash with Rajnikanth’s 2.0

Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra’s Aiyaary was supposed to release on Republic Day, 2018. The film has been directed by Neeraj Pandey and was supposed to have a box office clash with Rajnikanth’s 2.0 which is a sequel to Robot. A source says, “There was a lot of speculation about whether Aiyaary will release with 2.0 or not. But finally makers have decided to avert the clash as they did not want their film to suffer at box office. So they had a discussion about it and now the film will release two weeks later.”

 The makers of Aiyaary, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh, have announced the official release date as February 9, so Rajnikanth’s film will have a solo release on holiday weekend. Rajnikanth’s film stars Akshay Kumar in negative role and Amy Jackson plays the lead. Earlier 2.0 was going to release in Diwali this month, however the makers had to change the release date due to post production work.
