Emraan Hashmi has a number of interesting projects in his kitty this year. After a string of Box Office failures, the versatile actor will next be seen in and as Mohammad Azharuddin in a biopic on the cricketer.
After Azhar, Emraan Hashmi will work on the Raaz Reboot. As of today, the latest installment to the Raaz franchise is scheduled to clash with Akshay Kumar's Housefull 3 at the Box Office.
Emraan, who has over the last few years, proven to be more than just his 'serial kisser of Bollywood' tag, will join hands with the Bhatt camp once again to revive one of their relatively popular franchises. Once the Raaz Reboot is rolled out, Emraan will feature in the fourth installment of the successful Murder franchise, which will go on floors in the second half of 2016. Producer Mahesh Bhatt has promised that Murder 4 will reinvent Emraan Hashmi.
He told Mumbai Mirror that Murder was a lucrative franchise:

"It's too early to reveal details of his character but it's a strong role and will reinvent his image, along with the Azhar biopic. I'm just waiting for Vikram to complete Raaz Reboot and then we will plan this one. It's been a lucrative franchise for us and we have to make Murder 4 bigger and better,"
Murder 3 was made without even so much as a peek of Emraan - the face of the franchise. To no one's surprise, it sank without a trace at the Box Office. It looks like the Bhatt camp has learned from their previous mistakes.
