Clintons left red faced after making embarrassing Christmas cards blunder
Clintons has been left embarrassed after making a goof up with one of its Christmas cards. Shopper Joe J, from Stoke on Trent, caught sight of the unlucky blunder in the store’s branch in Sutton, South London.
The greeting card reads, 'Merry Christmas to my wonderful brother and boyfriend'.
Joe, 26, shared a picture of the blunder on Twitter and stated that the error could be regarded as a seriously inappropriate gaffe, reports Manchester Evening News.
He wrote: "I feel like they should definitely have the word ‘his’ before boyfriend."
Foreseeably, his post on the internet has gone viral, and has been shared over 5,000 times, and liked almost 50,000 times.
Certainly amused by the card, one of the Twitter user wrote, "Don't be so judgemental. If there's a market..."
"A niche market: the Lannisters," said a Game of Thrones fan.
"Keeping Christmas in the family," joked somebody else.
A fourth jested: "What in sweet Jesus were they thinking?!"
Clintons has been approached for comment.
Simultaneously, a number of other stores have also been summoned for their blunder, including Tesco.
