IRCTC and Ola Cab tie-up; good news as you can now book cab on the Railways website and app

In an order to give some ease to the commuters, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, also known as the IRCTC has announced that it has joined hands with the popular taxi aggregator Ola Cabs. The annoucement was made on Monday by the IRCTC on their Twitter account.

The collaboration of the two will give first to last mile connectivity to the commuters and this will be covered in more than 110 cities around the country. As per the latest reports, this will be a six-month project in which the customers will get the cab booking service from Ola on the official website, irctc.co.in as well as the mobile app of IRCTC.

The IRCTC on its Twitter account tweeted the news that read as, “Facility of hiring cab through IRCTC Rail Connect app and website started. IRCTC partners with OLA to provide end to end transportation.”

The cab aggregator Ola gives a lot of services to its users that include Ola Micro, Ola Mini, Ola Auto, Ola Share, Prime Sedan, Outstation, Rental, etc that are also mentioned on the official website of the Railways. All of these cabs can be booked either instantly or seven days in advance. Not only this, Ola's self-serving kiosk will also help the users to book their cabs.

Here's the way how you can book your cab:

1. Log on to website/app of IRCTC using your credentials

2. Select 'Book Cab' under service

3. You will be redirected to book.olacabs.com

4. Choose your type of cab and your drop location

5. Select whether you want an immediate cab or want to schedule it

6. Select your preferred cab option

7. Choose your payment option and continue

8. Booking confirmed
