The internet loves this tired dad who slept under his sick child's hospital bed after work

Every once in a while, the internet gives us something heartwarming to cry over.

Amy Palmer, a resident of Pennsylvania, found instant internet fame after she shared a photo on her Facebook page on 5 July. Palmer posted a photograph of her husband who had wrapped up a late night shift to travel straight to the hospital to attend to their sick son. The photo, of a tired father sleeping on the floor under his son's bed, has caused several to tear up.

The hospital room was reportedly too small to fit more than one chair/bed and the baby's crib. The Deccan Chronicle quoted Amy as saying:

"He came in when he got off work early in the morning and I was still half asleep that's why he laid there.

I had to take a picture because to many, all they see is a man lying on the floor. To me I saw a man who worked all night, who could have went home to go to sleep (I wouldn't have minded knowing he worked all night), who could have asked me to get up so he could lay down. All this shows the amazing husband and father he is!!!

I didn't let him stay there for long. I made him get up and he lay on the chair/bed and slept. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts, our little man was discharged this afternoon and is now resting at home. And daddy is sleeping, getting his rest for a 12-hour shift tonight."
