According to the Swarajya -5Forty3 pre-poll survey in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has emerged as the most favourable candidate. Barely two months before the state assembly elections, right-leaning Swarajya Mag, along with data analytics organisation 5Forty3, conducted a pre-poll survey in Bihar.
The focus of the survey was not just urban centres, but also rural areas of Bihar. Ninety per cent of the state's population lives in rural areas and, thus, the sentiment in rural Bihar can make or break the election.
Swarjya Mag opined that anti-incumbency is higher in Patna, the state capital, but because he enjoys a favourable image in villages, JD(U)'s Nitish Kumar (at 38 per cent) is the most popular candidate in the election.
He is followed by BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi (16 per cent), former CM and HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi (14 per cent), and LJP leader and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan (6 per cent) sits at the fourth position.
