Dancers perform fusion of graceful Bharatnatyam and freestyle hip-hop [WATCH]

Taking a step forward, choreographer Usha Jey has shared a video on her official Instagram account, which shows a blend of elegant Bharatnatyam and freestyle hip-hop. The choreographer said she is the one who has choreographed the dance routine.


“#HybridBharatham is my way of switching between Hip-Hop and Bharatnatyam, 2 dances that I love, learn and respect. My aim is to keep the essence of each dance and create something that do justice to who I am," the caption read.

The dance video has garnered more than 6.78 lakh views thus far and the netizens have made sincere comments on the post.

Bharatnatyam is an Indian traditional dance form from Tamil Nadu. Hip-hop refers to a variety of street dance techniques that are mostly performed to grooving beats.
