Cops rescue woman stuck inside car amid Arizona floods; watch dramatic video
A thrilling video from the United State Arizona has been shared extensively on the internet and it will surely leave you in shock. The video is primarily the footage recorded by a police personnel’s bodycam during the rescue operation.
Shared on Twitter by Apache Junction Police Department, the footage displays police officials trying to break the window of a car trapped in the floodwater. A woman can be seen trapped inside the car along with her pet dog.
The police official makes an attempt to rescue the woman from the car by giving her a rope to hold onto. As the car starts skidding along with the ferocious force of the floodwater, the woman manages to get out of the car through the window.
“On July 28, 2022, the Apache Junction Police Department responded to 24 different calls for service related to flooding. The incident you will see in this AJPD officer body camera is from a rescue of a motorist stranded in Weekes Wash,” the caption read.

The Twitter thread further read, “Two officers, one detention officer and one Mesa firefighter participated in this rescue. We also want to thank the civilian who provided a tow strap. We are deeply saddened that while we were able to rescue the driver, we were unable to retrieve her dog.”
The post concluded with a warning. “As the monsoon continues, we want to remind you to never drive on flooded roads,” it said.
Several internet users were extremely appalled to see the footage. Many commended the police department for carrying out a risky rescue operation.
As maintained by reports, the National Weather Service reported more than an inch of rain in 15 minutes on Sunday near Kingman, Arizona.
