Brazilian man creates world record for crossing slackline tied between two hot air balloons [Watch]

In an awe-inspiring achievement, Brazilian man Rafael Zugno Bridi walked on a rope tied between two hot air balloons midair at an altitude of 1901 metres or 6,326 feet.

The slackline enthusiast accomplished the highest ropewalk and got his name inscribed in the Guinness World Records. A video featuring Rafael doing the stunt was shared by GWR’s official Instagram account and has gone viral online.


In the viral video, Rafael can be seen walking barefoot on a 25 cm long slackline tied between two hot air balloons set apart by 18 metres or 59 feet. He achieved the feat above Praia Grande in Santa Catarina, Brazil. According to the Guinness World Records, Bridi crossed the slackline, passing through the clouds at an altitude that took him to twice the height of Burj Khalifa.

“This incredibly daring feat also earned @rafabridi the record title for highest highline (male), free solo (ISA-verified),” reads a comment by GWR.

After being posted in the internet, the video collected close to 9 lakh views. Netizens were in awe of Rafael’s talent and flooded the comments section with their comments.

“My legs are tingling looking at this,” a user wrote.

Another user commented, “Hat's off.”

“The feeling of floating and freedom has always been one of the biggest motivations for my highline practice, and nothing can bring this sensation so vividly as a crossing between balloons where both points are in constant motion,” Rafael said.
