UPSC IES Recruitment 2021: Official notification released for Indian Engineering Services exam; check details

UPSC IES Notification 2021: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the official notification for the Indian Engineering Services (IES) on April 7.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the UPSC IES exam through the official website--http://www.upsconline.nic.in.

Aspirants are advised to submit their online application form on or before April 27, 2021, till 06:00 pm.

UPSC IES Examinations 2021:

The selection of the candidate will take place in four categories—Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic, and Telecommunication Engineerings.

Educational Qualification Required:

To apply for the IES exam, candidates should have a qualified engineering degree or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the major subjects from any recognized university or institution.

Exam Date:

UPSC will conduct the Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam on July 18, 2021.

Age Limit Required:

To apply for the UPSC IES exam, the minimum age limit required is 21 years while the maximum age limit for the post is 30 years.

Application Fee:

For unreserved category- Rs 200

Candidates can make the online fee payment till 6:00 pm on April 27, 2021, after which the link will be deactivated. Also, the application fee is non-refundable.

UPSC IES 2021: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on three stages: preliminary exam, main exam, and personality test.

There will be negative markings for each wrong answer. For each wrong attempt, one-third mark will be deducted.
