OPSC Recruitment 2021: New jobs released for Post Graduate Teachers; salary up to Rs 44,000

OPSC Recruitment 2021: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released a job notification for the post of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) under the Science stream in Group B. Interested candidates can read the detailed notification on the official website of OPSC—opsc.gov.in.

The above vacancies have been released to fill the vacancies in State service for the Higher Secondary Schools functioning under ST& SC Development Department.


According to the official notification, OPSC has invited vacancies to fill a total of 139 Post Graduate Teachers for Higher Secondary Schools.

The online application form for the post of OPSC PGT will begin on March 24 and the last date for the online submission of the application fee is April 23, 2021.

OPSC Recruitment 2021: Vacancy Details

Out of 139 vacancies, seven positions are reserved for persons with disabilities whose permanent disability is 40% and more.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification Required:

To apply for the post of OPSC PGT, candidates must have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50 % marks in aggregate.
Or
He or she should have possessed two years integrated Post-Graduate M.Sc. Course from Regional College of Education NCERT.

Computer Knowledge:

Candidates who have a Diploma or Degree in Computer Application from a recognized University or College or Institution can apply for the post.

Age Limit:

The minimum age limit required to apply for the post is 21 years while the maximum age limit for the post is 32 years as of January 1, 2021.

Pay Scale:

Selected candidates will get the pay band—Rs 44,990 in Level-10 of Cell-1 under ORSP rules, 2017. The candidate will also get the Dearness and other Allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.

As per the official notification, the posts are temporary and likely to be made permanent.

Application Fee:

For unreserved candidates, the application fee is Rs 500 while reserved category aspirants are exempted from payment of the fee.
