Assam Police Recruitment 2021: Over 2000 vacancies released in state police department; male and female candidates can apply

Assam Police Recruitment 2021: Assam Police has released a job notification for the posts of constables and sub-inspectors. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application form from December 10, 2021.

Under this recruitment drive, 2134 vacancies were released for constables and 306 vacancies for sub-inspector posts. Applicants are advised to submit their application form on or before January 9, 2022.

To submit the application form for the posts of Assam Police Constables and Sub-Inspectors, candidates will have to visit the official website—slprbassam.in.

Earlier, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had announced to fill 6,000 vacancies in the state police department. Assam CM had also announced 1,000 new quarters for police and infrastructure.

The official notice reads, “Candidates numbering only 5 times the number of posts in respect of each category (Unreserved, OBC/MOBC, SC, S.T. (P), S.T.(H) & EWS) both male & transgender and female will be called for PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test) on merit basis.”

Assam Police Recruitment 2021: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on a written exam, physical standard test, and physical efficiency test. Applicants should note that a total of 30% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for women candidates.

Assam Police Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Details

Educational Qualification:

To apply for the posts, candidates must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College.

Age Limit:

To apply for the Assam Police Vacancy 2021, candidates must be between 20 years and 26 years.

Also, candidates should be Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam.
