Guatemala resort that proudly endorsed its volcano views is now covered in ash, see picture

If you check Guatemalan resort, you will see The Hotel La Reunion's website that boasts of stunning views of the iconic Fuego volcano. However, the resort is under a thick blanket of greyish-brown ash because of the volcanic vent.

This picture of the hotel has emerged after the destructive volcanic vent killed at least 99 people and buried over 100 people.

These are some of the before and after pictures of the hotel that proves that the volcanic vent is not only powerful but also destructive.

The website of the resort shows a stunning picture of Fuego volcano in the background and now a destructive picture of greyish-brown ash blanket has emerged.

The resort is situated nearly 7 kilometres from the destructive volcanic site of Fuego. As seen in the picture sometimes the volcano send up plumes of ash and sometimes it glow in the evenings. In the year 2016, a lush green golf course has now turned a pile of ash.

The deadly volcanic eruption has shot plumes of ash into the sky. It has destroyed towns and covered miles of a thick layer of ash. Officials said 192 people were still unaccounted for.

One of the officials of the hotel said, "We are united and pray to overcome this emergency, actively assisting the victims," The resort also added that employees and their families are safe.
