Man missing for four months, found murdered by wife's paramour and his friends

In an extremely shocking incident of crime reported form Ludhaina, a man was allegedly killed by his wife’s lover and his friends on Thursday. The man, who had gone missing around four months back, was found buried in a field in Punjab’s Machhiwara on Thursday. Reportedly, the labourer's wife has an illicit love affair with one of the accused.

The victim has been identified as Raju Singh. A native of Majri village of Morinda, Raju Singh used to work as a labourer and had gone missing on 13th May. Singh tied the knot with Pooja Singh around 10 years ago and had two daughters.


As per reports, the victim’s wife (Pooja) had an extramarital affair with a man identified as Tajinder Singh alias Goldy and two years back, the victim had moved in with him with her daughters. However, she had gone back to her husband a month later. The woman, again, moved in with Tajinder in April.

Not being able to trace his wife and daughters, Singh had registered a missing person's complaint at the Morinda police station. In the meantime, Singh came to know that his wife and daughters were living with Tajinder in the Indira Colony of Machhiwara and decided to bring them home, Hindustan Times reported.

Earlier on 13th May, Singh and his brother-in-law, Santosh Kumar, went to Machhiwara to take Pooja and the girls home. After this, Tajinder asked Singh to accompany him. When Singh did not come back home, his brother-in-law registered a missing complaint. He was allegedly murdered by Tajinder and his partner Ricky Lakhowal.

Following the incident, the accused were booked under sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance) and 34 (acts done by several persons) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Singh's wife is suspected to be involved in the crime.
