Kerala shocker: Madrasa teacher sexually assaults minor boy

In a shocking incident reported from Kerala’s Ernakulam district, a madrasa teacher has been sentenced to 67 years in prison for sexually assaulting a minor boy. The incident happened on January 19, 2020, in Perumbavoor area.

The Perumbavoor Fast Track Court punished the accused, who has been identified as Aliyaar, a resident of Nellikuzhi town in Ernakulam district, for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy who was his student at the religious institution.


The fast track court, before passing the verdict, observed that people at higher position in educational institutions should behave responsibly. It added that these acts were completely intolerable.

According to reports, the accused had sexually assaulted the minor boy in a room in the madrasa many times and had also given his phone to the child to watch adult videos.

Following the horrifying incident, the boy informed his friends and teachers, after which a complaint was lodged with the police.
