UPSC CDS 2 exam 2016: Admit cards released on official website

UPSC Common Defence Services examination (II) has released admit cards. This time, e-admit cards have also been released. Candidates who registered for UPSC CDS II, need to download their admit cards from www.upsc.gov.in - the official website.

UPSC CDS Part 1 exam was held on 14 February. Part II is scheduled to be held on 23 October. The exam is conducted by UPSC for positions at the Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers' Training Academy.

About 8,411 candidates had appeared for the stage 1 examination in 2016. This exam is held twice every year.

After qualifying for the CDS exam, the candidates get admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (iv) Officers Training Academy, Chennai (v) Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 19th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April 2017.

Those candidates who are selected will have to undergo military training for 18 months at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
