Several applicants awaiting their RRB NTPC result 2016 have been thoroughly confused witthh the recent development in the last few weeks. With various dates circulating on the web, test takers are confused about when the results will be declared.

"First, they said the results will be declared in September. Now they are saying the results will be out in October second week. I keep on checking the website, but no details are out," says Bihar-based Anil Kumar, who appeared for RRB NTPC exam earlier this year.

However, the confusion is not just about the date of results.

"As per the first RRB NTPC Notification, there was supposed to be just one exam conducted by the railway board. We appeared for the exam, which went on for an entire month! Then rumours about second stage exam started coming in. Finally, RRB announced on their website that stage 2 exam will be conducted," says Deepak Kumar, adding, "Moreover, there were reports of paper leak and hence some exams were re-conducted. All this is confusing and unfair for us."

Earlier, Anil Kumar Saxena, Additional DG (PR) of Railways told Catch that no dates have been officially declared by the Railway Board and that websites are publishing results dates on their own.

"We (Railway Recruitment) have not declared any official date of results.

Most websites are publishing numerous dates without verifying any information. All I can say right now is that expect the results in the first fortnight of October, 2016," he said.

In April 2016, the Railway Board cancelled the exam overnight, asking candidates not to appear for the test. It later rescheduled the exam in eight centres.
