Budget-hotel chain OYO registered a 75 percent occupancy rate, surpassing the hospitality industry's 65 percent occupancy rate.

Owing to this, the hotel chain also featured on LinkedIn India's list of Top 10 companies that attract the best talent.

The hospitality industry as a whole has witnessed an eight-year high this year, registering such phenomenal growth for the first time since 2008. With OYO's standardised, affordable accommodation, the industry's growth has been fueled further.

Since its inception, the company has established a network of over 7000 hotels across India. In terms of global expansion, OYO has also set its footprint in Nepal and Malaysia.

"OYO's pioneering business model and approach changed how hotels were managed and booked in India. When we started out, our in-room amenities and experience were first standardized on multiple measures in one property in Gurgaon which we operated for a year, this was then scaled across the breadth and width of our network. Today OYO is the country's largest provider of affordable hotel stays. We launched our first hotel in Kathmandu last month and will on-board 100 properties there by the end of this year," said Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO, OYO.

OYO provides its customers 24x7 call center support, predictable and affordable experience, assured sunrise check-in starting at 6 AM and on-ground concierge support through OYO Captains.

OYO currently has 70,000 rooms in 200 cities.
