Everybody loves this Hate Story! Zarine Khan-Daisy Shah film is a hit

Hate Story 3, starring Zarine Khan, Daisy Shah, Sharman Joshi and Karan Singh Grover, released on 4 December. The film managed to rake in Rs 8.05 crore on the second day - taking the two-day total to Rs 17.77 crore.

The film has done unexpectedly well considering that mass films witness a drop in collections on day two.

Day-wise box office collection figures:

• 4 December - Rs 9.72 crore

• 5 December - Rs 8.05 crore

• Total collections - Rs 17.77 crore

The impressive collections will see a noticeable jump on Sunday. Any amount that is collected from Monday on will be surplus as the film has been mounted on a tight budget.

While the film is a clean hit, it will be interesting to see if it manages to breach the Rs 50 crore mark in its lifetime run. Hate Story 3 has garnered only negative reviews so far. However, only Monday will reveal if the reviews have managed to affect the film's performance.
