Sidharth Malhotra is hitting the headlines ever since Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani announced the remake of Tamil hit film Thadam starring Arun Vijay. The film will mark Sidharth’s first film in a double role. Now there is an update in this news that the makers have locked the leading lady for their film.
It's non-other than Mrunal Thakur who was last seen in Batla House and Karan Johar’s Ghost Stories. The actress will essay the role of Police officer wherein she will be seen performing high rated stunts. The actress recently wrapped up Aankh Micholi and have already allotted May and June dates for the remake of a mystery thriller.

The film is slated to release this year on 20th November while it will be helmed by Vardhan Ketkar.
Talking about Mrunal then she has two projects in her kitty Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor and Toofan co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra that will release this year itself.

Coming back to the film then those who don't know Thadam is a blockbuster film that was released in Tamil Industry in 2019. The storyline revolves around the murder of a young man named Akash that creates confusion among cops when they find out that the one has a look-alike. The twist and turns with an unexpected climax to make the film interesting.
