Sanju Box Office Collection Day 1: Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani's film set screens on fire; recorded phenomenal collections on day one
One of the awaited movies of the year 2018, Sanju got released on the silver screens on June 29. The movie directed by ace director Rajkumar Hirani has Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead role of Bollywood's Khalnayak aka Sanjay Dutt. The movie has recorded amazing box office collections just on the first day of its release which was clear after the audience's reaction on the film.
As per the latest reports, the movie has recorded a great opening on the windows and has become Ranbir Kapoor’s biggest opener till date. For all those who are excited to know how much the movie collected, we are glad to inform that the movie has collected as many as Rs 34.75 crore on its first day. From the morning itself the occupancy recorded was great but a great jump came during the evening and night shows.

The box-office collections were shared by the Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh who took to his Twitter account and said, “Non-holiday... Non-festival release... The movie that also has Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in important roles is expected to make Rs 100 crore just after its first weekend. Well, there's no doubt in the saying that Sanju will surely prove as Ranbir Kapoor's comeback movie on the screens since his past few movies weren't great.
Sanju has not only collected this huge amount on the first day but has also become the highest opener of the year defeating Salman Khan starre Race 3 that collected Rs 29.17 crore and Hollywood movie Avengers: Infinity War that collected Rs 31.30 crore on day one in India.
It is also being said that the movie has already broken Salman Khan's starrer Race 3 collections. Ranbir in the movie has played the role of Sanjay Dutt with sheer dedication and has truly given his best performance till date. Now it will be exciting to see how much the movie collects but we are sure that it will surely bag all the crucial awards seeing the excellent performance of the stars in the film.
