When Sonam Kapoor made her acting debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya in 2007, she played a wistful heroine in a melodramatic love story.
While Saawriya received a lukewarm response from the audiences, Sonam's debut helped her bag a number of impressive projects. She went on to do Delhi 6, Raanjhanaa, Aisha and Bhag Milkha Bhaag - a variety of roles across a number of genres. She played a princess in her last film, the family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that was helmed by Salman Khan.
