Bollywood’s most talented and gorgeous actress Madhuri Dixit has turned a year older today. The Saajan actress made her debut with 1984’s Abodh however only in 1988 with film Tezaab she left the imprint in the Bollywood industry. Since then there was no looking back for the actress and went on to rule the industry. Well, not just industry she also ruled young hearts in the 90s, as soon as she appeared on the silver screen her fans use to go berserk.

As actress turns 53 today we thought why not revisit the old days and look at songs which made every 90s kids hooked to her moves even today.

1. Ek Do Teen


Mohini, Mohini, Mohini! One of the most famous and amazing songs that took the entire nation by storm. It was with this movie actress tasted her success and was with this movie she made her place in everyone’s heart. Madhuri stunned the audience with her appearance in this song, the actress was seen wearing a pink top and colourful striped skirt.

2. Dhak Dhak


Post the release of the film Beta, Madhuri went on to be known as Dhak Dhak Girl. There is not a single girl who hadn’t practice the hook step in the bathroom or bedroom and still couldn’t get as clean as Madhuri. As soon as one hears this song automatically their body starts moving.

3. Hum Ko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar


One of the most famous songs from Sailaab that featured Madhuri dressed in a fisherwoman avatar and danced her way onto our hearts. Back then parents used to dress up their kids in the same avatar whenever their daughters used to perform on this song.

4. Chane Ke Khet Mein


Well, this is the one song that every girl has performed or danced to its tune and if you haven’t then you are not a 90s kid. Her expressions, her moves made everyone fall in love just like Shah Rukh Khan in the film.

5. Mera Piya Ghar Aaya

Every 90s kid must have danced on this song and tried to sync their steps with Madhuri’s. The actress proved her mettle in the Bollywood and with every song she announced that she is here to stay for long.

6. Didi Tera Devar Deewana

Madhuri and Salman Khan’s Jodi received immense love and appreciation, there famous film Hum Aapke Hai Kon arose the essence of romance in all the 90s kid's heart. Everything about the song is iconic be it Madhuri's dance, her purple lehenga, the hook step, and of course, Salman hanging on to a chandelier!

7. Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai

Term the song as “vulgar”, however as soon as one will listen to the song they cannot resist and starts dancing to its tune. This song created a stir in the whole entertainment world because of its lyrics, however, director Subhash Ghai didn’t take down the song as it kept the audience hooked up. In an interview, Subhash revealed that since he didn’t take down this song from the film he lost a National Award, however, he has no regrets regarding this.
