Kesari actor Akshay Kumar confirms signing 'Prithviraj' based on Prithviraj Chauhan and Sanykuta love story!
Akshay Kumar is going to be seen in the next film called Kesari, based on the battle of Saragarhi. The film will narrate the bravery story of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought against 10 thousand Afghan invaders. Akshay has come back to action genre after a long gap of 4 years, his last full-fledged Bollywood action film was Brothers starring alongside Sidharth Malhotra.
Although, his last 2.0 was also an action sci-fi film but it was made in Tamil so in Bollywood he is coming in action genre with Kesari. Recently during the promotions of Kesari, Akshay Kumar confirmed that he has signed another action war film and that is Prithviraj. Akshay in this interview revealed that his next three films will be totally action dramas.
The intersting thing is that after Kesari, Akshay to start the shooting of Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty. Sooryavanshi will be a cop-drama and this will also be a total action packed film. Now one more film Prithviraj has come into Akshay's bag.
“I am doing two continuous action movies. Like, Kesari is an action movie. Then I am starting Rohit Shetty’s action movie. Then, I am starting Prithviraj – that’s another action war movie. It’s good,” Akshay told in one interview.
According to the reports, Prithviraj will be a period drama film based on the life of warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan and his wife Sanyukta. The film will be directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi who also directed films like Pinjar and Mohalla Assi. The shoot of the film will begin in the mid-2019, however, there is no official announcement regarding the same has happened yet. The film will be made under the banner of Yash Raj Films and it will be Akshay's come back to YRF after 12 years of Tashan.
