Rocky Handsome is an action film with a strong emotional backbone, reveals John Abraham

John Abraham's action thriller Rocky Handsome, which is the official remake of Korean film, The Man From Nowhere, has finally got a release date. The film, which was initially slated to release on 2 October 2015, was later postponed as the makers were yet to wrap up the shooting of the action film.

After the delay, the movie is finally all set to release on 25 March 2016, which is the Holi weekend and the producers are confident that the holiday season will give the film the right push. The movie explores the strong bond between John Abraham and a young girl just like the one between Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Harshaali Malhotra in the Kabir Khan film.

Speaking about the release date, producers of the film, John Abraham and Sunir Kheterpal said,

"Along with the direction team, we saw the final edit of the film this week and were bowled over with the final output. This action film has a strong emotional backbone surmised in the relationship between the protagonist and a girl.

We have been brainstorming on the right release window and the long weekend of Holi-Good Friday in March just felt apt. A special film needs a special date."

Director of the film, Nishikant Kamat, is pretty confident that the audiences will get to see never seen before action scenes from John Abraham who he thinks is one of India's biggest action stars.
