Happy Birthday Shilpa Shetty: When the 'thumka girl' opened up about how Akshay Kumar broke her heart after he found Twinkle Khanna
Bollywood celebrities, every now and then through their relationship statuses with either other actors, cricketers and businessman manage to grab the attention of the media as well as their fans. There are some love stories that took a tragic turn that made headlines and became famous and one of those was the story of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who is today celebrating her 43rd birthday and Khiladi Kumar, Akshay Kumar.
Both of them are married now not with each other. Akshay is happily married to Shilpa Shetty's best friend Twinkle Khanna and is even a father of two children Aarav and Nitara while Shilpa, on the other hand, is married to a famous businessman, Raj Kundra and they are blessed with a son named Viaan. But once there was a time when they both were counted amongst one of the good-looking couples of the industry.
It was said that during the shooting of their film Main Khiladi Tu Anari, cupid struck them and they fell in love with each other but noone knew that they will have a bitter ending after the Dhadkan actress came to know that Akshay was double dating with none other than her best friend and actress Twinkle Khanna that broke her heart into pieces.
Shilpa, during one of her interviews that she gave in the year 2000 opened up about her heart break and said a few words on Akshay's two timing. She said that she could not even imagine him doing the same and that too during the whole course of their relationship. She said that she does not hold any grudges against Twinkle because there was no fault of hers since it her boyfriend only who was to be blamed and said, “There is no point blaming any other woman, it was entirely his fault.”
It was indeed one of the rough phase of her life but she stayed positive and said, “After every dark cloud, there's always a silver lining. All this while, though things were going well professionally, my personal life was pulling me down. It feels good that it's finally behind me."
She seemed to be deeply hurt by what Akshay did to her and said he was the only person that upset him and said that even though it is difficult to forget the past but she is glad that she has the strength to move on. She further said, “Akshay Kumar used me and conveniently dropped me after he found someone else. But I'm sure he'll get it all back. Today, he's a forgotten chapter as far as I'm concerned. I will never work with him again.”
Akshay's reaction on all this was completely different as he clearly denied all the allegations that were put on him. He said that Shilpa was making a scandal out of all the things to which Shilpa replied, "That's his opinion, not mine. After what he did with me, what else could he say?"
Even though they suffered in their relationship but we are glad that they are now leading happily married lives that make us believe that everything ends on a good note. We wish the actress a very happy birthday and hope to see her smiling all through her life.
