It really became a tought fight in between the films Cheat India, Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi, and Thackeray that all the films were released in the same week. However, now things are likely to sort out as Emraan Hashmi starrer Cheat India makers have back out of this big clash. Current reports are that Cheat India will now release on 18th January instead of earlier slated date 25th January 2019.

There were the reports that some of the political leaders of Shiv Sena were pressuring the production houses of both films Manikarnika and Cheat India to push the release date of their respective films. However, now the production house of Thackeray, Raut’ers Entertainment in an official statement denied all these kind of allegations.

So as of now, the film Cheat India have decided to pre-pone their film but it looks like that Manikarnika starring Kanana Ranaut makers have not ready to back out of the date. However, reports are that the post-production work of Manikarnika is still on the table so this film even could see a postponed.

A source reported Bollywood Hungama, “Given the fact that Manikarnika is still in post-production with certain segments of VFX work still remaining to be done, it is certain that the release of the film will be deferred by a week or so. Now if the release of Manikarnika and Cheat India are delayed that would mean both clash at the box office. However, if the release of Cheat India is preponed, it ensures that the film receives an uncluttered and solo release.”
