Robot 2.0: Akshay Kumar to sport an evil, futuristic look in Rajnikanth film

Shooting for the Rajnikanth starrer, Robot 2.0 - the sequel to the hugely successful Enthiran (Robot) - is currently underway at a cricket stadium in Delhi. The current shooting schedule includes a high-octane action sequence, which is touted to be the major highlight of the sci-fi flick.

The film, which went on floors in December 2015, also stars Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in a negative role. The Shankar-directorial is reportedly being made on a massive budget of Rs 350 crore.

Director Shankar had previously revealed that both Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar would don a futuristic look in the film. In an interview with Behindwoods.com, designer Rocky S revealed that Akshay Kumar's look would be futuristic, but evil - in keeping with the grey shades of his character. He said:

"The overall styling and designing of the film comprises of contrast styles. There is a casual look as well as futuristic look given to the main cast, the antihero has been given a devilish look and female lead has been given formal look."

Robot 2.0 is slated to release in 2017.
