
Akshay Kumar recently released a teaser trailer for his upcoming film, Airlift. Audiences reacted positively to the teaser of the film - which is a fictional account of the Indians living in Kuwait being evacuated during the 1990 Gulf War.
Akshay essays the role of Ranjit Katiyal, an Indian multi-millionaire who leads the rescue operations. The Airlift team is now all set to release a two-and-a-half-minute long theatrical trailer of the film on 16 December.
The team has plans to tie up with a few multiplex chains to showcase the trailer alongwith the two big Christmas releases, Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani.

The film has been directed by Rajakrishna Menon and also stars Nimrat Kaur. There is a lot of hype surrounding the film as it is based on the biggest air evacuation operation in world history.

The film is slated to release during the republic day weekend, 22 January 2016.
