
After months of speculation about the father-son Dhawan duo working on a comedy film, it was announced that David Dhawan would direct Varun for the sequel of Salman Khan's 1996 smash hit, Judwaa.
The film, which is slated to go on floors in July 2016, is David Dhawan's second directorial with Varun Dhawan, after Main Tera Hero.

In the film, Varun Dhawan will be seen in a double role - for the first time ever.
According to media reports, David Dhawan has roped in Shraddha Kapoor to play the lead alongside Varun. Mid-Day quoted a source as saying:

Their pairing in the 2015 dance drama ABCD 2 was received well by the audience and the makers want to cash in on that. The other actress is yet to be finalised,"
The film will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and the action sequences will be choreographed by Fast and Furious 7 action director, Spiro Razatos.
