This Ram-Leela actor to play leading villain in Akshay Kumar-Rohit Shetty's film Sooryavanshi!

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is expanding his cop-universe and after giving two successful cops like Bajirao Singham and Sanram Bhalerao aka Simmba, he is all set to come with Veer Sooryavanshi. The director has started the shooting of Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty announced his next film in Simmba climax only.

Soon the makers announced that Katrina Kaif is collaborating with Akshay Kumar after 9 years and she will be playing his wife. The film has gone to floors last week and now more details about the film have come out. Rohit Shetty's films are known to put more masala and extravagant storylines and characters, they are also known for larger than life villain. So since villains like Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood in Singham and Simmba respectively.

 

According to media reports, actor Abhimanyu Singh who had worked in Bollywood and Telugu films is going to play the leading villain in the film. Abhimanyu was last seen in Sridevi starring Mom and he also had worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer Goliyon Ki Leela Rasleela Ram-Leela.

Talking about his role Abhimanyu Singh said that Rohit had seen his work in Tamil film, Theeran in 2017 where he played the leading villain with some heroic shades. Rohit had loved some of his performances and one day he called him to congratulate his work. He then, said that Abhimanyu would be perfect for Soooryavanshi. He also revealed that first day with Akshay Kumar on the sets was amazing. He also appreciated Rohit Shetty for making him comfortable and he felt like they had known each other for years.

Let us tell you that Sooryavanshi will clash with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Both the films are going to release on Eid 2020.
