Woman falls in sea while taking a boat ride; know what happens next

In a shocking incident, a woman tourist fell in the sea while taking a boat ride in Maharashtra’s Mumbai on Sunday.

According to ANI, the woman lost her balance and fell into the sea after a strong ocean current hit her boat. The incident took place near Mumbai’s Gateway of India.


A team of Coastal Police and Colaba Police rushed to the spot and rescued the woman from drowning.

The video was shared on the official Twitter handle of ANI along with a caption, “A team of Coastal Police & Colaba Police rescued a woman tourist who was drowning in the sea near Gateway of India, Mumbai today. The woman lost control and fell into the water after a strong ocean current hit her boat: Mumbai Police.”

In the video, a police officer can be seen throwing a rope in the sea to rescue her.

The video has gone viral on social media and has garnered over 68k views and 1,927 likes.

Netizens also lauded the police officers for helping the woman.
