Banker uses steam iron to disinfect cheque given by customer amid COVID-19 fear; Anand Mahindra hails him

Coronavirus in India has brought several ideas and techniques which people are using to prevent themselves from its adverse effects. One creative video has surfaced the Internet from the Bank of Baroda in Gujarat. The video also received the attention of business tycoon Anand Mahindra who hailed the man for his technique to sanitize the cheque.

In the viral video, the man can be seen handing over a cheque to the cashier through a window. Another bizarre thing in the video was that the cashier also used a tong to collect the cheque. Then, he runs a steam iron over the cheque in a bid to disinfect the virus.


Anand Mahindra shared the video with a caption, “In my #whatsappwonderbox I have no idea if the cashier's technique is effective but you have to give him credit for his creativity.”

 

The 27-second video on Twitter garnered over 118k views. Netizens can’t stay back to express their views, thoughts over the video.

Some people called it jugaad while questioned whether this technique is effective or not.
