Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has landed in controversy after making a controversial remark in connection with the stand up comedian Maillika Dua in his comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

During the show, the actor said, “Mallika Ji aap bell bajao, mai aapko bajata hoon”. The comment has not gone down well with the comedian and also her father Vinod Dua who is a veteran journalist.

The comedian didn't react about the statement when the show was going on but later expresesed her view on social media along with her father.

Mallika Dua and Vinod Dua registered their protest against the remark online, but in the latest development both of them have deleted their posts from their respective accounts.

Mallika took to social networking site Twitter and wrote, “Hey! Quick question. Does anyone find 5:26 funny? Charming? Entertaining? Family entertainment. GEC”

“So, I want humor to be limitless. I also don’t want to be uncomfortable at my work place :( The lines are blurred. Thoughts?” she added.

Vinod Dua also slammed Akshay Kumar for the offensive remark.

In a Facebook post, Vinod said, “I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co-worker Mallika Dua that ‘Aap bell bajao, main aap ko bajata hun’ (You ring the bell, I will bang you)… This is his sense of humour and language… Star Plus… Wake up”.

Notably, a few days ago, it was reported that the judges of show Zakir Khan, Hussain Dalal and Mallika Dua will be shown the door because of the lower TRPs. However, this has not been confirmed yet.
